Paying 1/4 the price of a full game I already own, for the version it could have been is something I have no problem with at all, and neither should you. I for one didnt believe them at first until I played it myself, and I paid full price for L4D and L4D2. Turns out Valve's claims of extreme zombie AI/Director fixes and the inclusion of melee were something that could not be simply patched in. came out a year later without Turtle Rock Studio's and was criticized heavily in advance. This actually reminds me of the L4D/L4D2 backlash. If Deep Silver wants to redeem THQ's last mistake then they are welcome to do so, and they are allowed to charge us for it. But the blame doesnt lie with Deep Silver or 4A since the project was "officially" finished by the time of acquisition from THQ, and could only be distributed as is. yes the game should have come this way originally. Now that is a lot of time and money Deep Silver is investing into a game they didnt originally even have publishing rights to(and its predecessor). Probably more that has not been listed online yet

Now people seem to be crying a river because it will cost $12.49 for something that should be updated for free on an already existing game. I for one have no problem supporting 4A and Deep Silver since they have not wronged me yet, also they saved 4A from some pretty terrible companies at the bidding.
The Redux is likely Deep Silver and 4A fixing a lot of the bugs, glitches, and DLC garbage they had to put up with THQ forcing on 4A originally. They released the game as it was because development was over and took the blame for the DLC and bad AI because it was already done. THQ went bankrupt and Last Light went into limbo until Deep Silver bought em. Pre-bankruptcy THQ had 4A set the game up to be released with DLC(ranger mode) something that angered and insulted a lot of people. Save your judgement, there may be more to this than meets the eye.ĤA completed the game for THQ in extremely bad conditions mostly due to their location, but partly due to THQ knowing they were a sinking ship.
